When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)
It is the adversity of exams, that shows what is on the inside of us, which causes us to advance into the next class in school. This is the same with financial adversity.
It is the adversity of friction that we experience while walking that gives us the advancement to cover more ground. If you try walking on ice, you tend to slide around because there is no friction and it becomes difficult to advance as fast.
Joseph was propelled into his destiny as prime minister because of the adversity he faced in prison. It was the adversity of Goliath that propelled David into the limelight for him to be known. It was adversity that propelled Stephen, the first martyr of the church in the book of Acts into the limelight; that is why Stephen is an example for us today. It is the adversity of the storm that propelled Peter being the first man after Jesus Christ that walked on water.
Furthermore, it is the adversity of the lion’s den that made Daniel known. It is the adversity of the fiery furnace that made the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego known. It is the same with our Lord Jesus Christ, the adversity of His crucifixion propelled Him into the advancement of His resurrection.
The Bible says in the book of Hebrews 12:2 that we should look onto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross despising the shame and has sat down on the throne of God.
As you continue to look at Jesus through your financial adversity, he will start guiding you on what to do, how to talk to, how to get the required help and favor towards your financial advancement.
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end
Isaiah 43:2 (MSG)
