“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
Isaiah 49:15-16 (NKJV)
Every experience along the journey towards destiny fulfillment is God’s intention for something bigger in your future. Therefore, don’t focus on the negativity of what doesn’t go as expected. God always vindicates His people eventually, provided they don’t give up. Remember, God is not asleep; He intentionally uses each process to bring out the best in you.
There are times in our lives that situations cause us to question if God is really alive. You are not alone. It is possible that Joseph asked that same question when he found himself in the pit, then a slave, then wrongly accused and imprisoned. The same applies to David when Saul wanted to kill him. David did nothing wrong, but King Saul pursued him for 4 years ( The Interactive Bible )
During my teenage years, I got a summer job which required data inputting converting paper records into a digital system. I worked hard on the project because I didn’t want to disappoint in my first role. After a couple of days, the supervisor of the project came to assess the work I was doing. She didn’t hold back in expressing her disappointment at my speed and that I was not giving the project my best. I was so hurt and devastated about the feedback I got because I knew I gave it my all. I could remember walking toward the bus stop and prayed “Lord you know I gave my best to the project, please vindicate me.” Days later, the supervisor came and apologised; she attempted to work on the project and saw that the scope was bigger than anticipated. She confirmed that I had done a good job considering the vastness of the task.
Your God is alive, he’s not asleep and he has not forgotten you. Just continued to call him in your heart and he will see through.
15. [And the Lord answered] Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.
16. Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually before Me.
